ABOUT US
No one knows better than Vicki A. Jones how effective the tools recommended by Smarter Way are. That’s because she personally experienced the benefits of counseling and biofeedback therapy.
She then became certified by the Biofeedback Certification Institute of America (BCIA); later became a Fellow of BCIA; and now is a Senior Fellow of BCIA.
Vicki also earned her credentials as a licensed master social worker and advanced clinical therapist. Earlier educated and experienced as a radio-television-film major, Vicki sought relief from frequent and painful migraines. Her treatment and subsequent cure through biofeedback therapy convinced her that the mind and the body are linked in ways we don’t ordinarily understand and that more knowledge about the linkage could improve our health, our ability to relax, to concentrate, to sleep, and feel better about ourselves and our lives.
She returned to her studies and earned her certification in biofeedback, then she was approved to be a Licensed Master Social Worker-Advanced Clinical Practitioner, the highest level of social work in the State of Texas. During her now more than 30 year career she has worked extensively in healthcare settings, with educators, with public schools and special education; business professionals, and in areas of creativity and sports fitness, including Olympic athletes.
Today Vicki’s list of consulting work includes Hospitals, Public Schools and Universities; Government Agencies in the United States and Abroad; and participation in United States federal government research projects on learning.
Vicki has presented her courses and presentations on ADHD to many professional and medical groups including
American Medical Association
(AMA)
Category I: Continuing Medical Education for Physicians
Attention Deficit Disorder Association
Children and Adults with Attention Deficit Disorder
In addition Vicki has conducted workshops in whole brain learning and for foreign language instructors at the Continuing Education Department of the University of Houston and was sponsored by the Swedish government to teach Europeans in Stockholm her methods.
She has produced a series of audio tapes titled “Relaxation for Living,” published by Smarter Way, used Worldwide in Schools and Universities in Australia, Switzerland, France, England, Germany, Netherlands, Sweden and Finland for many purposes. These include accelerated learning programs used in corporations for reducing stress and increasing Worker Productivity; in Healthcare by Doctors, in Hospitals, including M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and in Clinics; by Psychologists, Therapists, and Counselors; by Chaplains for quieting the mind; and by Professors and Teachers to help Students concentrate and learn more easily and more quickly.
